Join us for an immersive and interactive virtual workshop where we delve into the world of IoT (Internet of Things) and embark on a journey to build a connected future.  The Workshop will be consucted from 22 May to 26 May 2023. Led by expert instructor, Guruswamy, this comprehensive workshop will specifically focus on sensors, the fundamental building blocks of IoT.

Throughout the five days, participants will gain hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of sensors and their applications in various IoT scenarios. Starting from the basics, you will learn about different types of sensors, their working principles, and how they enable the collection and transmission of valuable data.

Under the expert guidance of Guruswamy, you will explore a wide range of sensors, including but not limited to temperature sensors, humidity sensors, motion sensors, light sensors, and proximity sensors. Through practical exercises and engaging projects, you will learn how to interface these sensors with microcontrollers and IoT platforms, enabling you to capture, analyze, and utilize data for real-world applications.

Course Content

Introduction to Arduino
A comprehensive introduction to the Arduino platform, including its history, hardware components, and software environment.

Interfacing LED with Arduino, Blinking of LEDs
Covers the basics of connecting and controlling LEDs using the Arduino platform. Students will learn about the electrical circuit and how to write code to turn the LED on and off, control brightness, and blink.

Interfacing LDR with Arduino
Teaches how to interface Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs) with Arduino, and how to use them to detect changes in light intensity.

Operation of Buzzer with Arduino
Introduces the concept of interfacing buzzers with Arduino, and how to write code to control the buzzer and produce different sounds.

Interfacing Ultrasonic sensors with Arduino
Explores the use of ultrasonic sensors with Arduino, including how to interface and write code to measure distances.

Interfacing IR sensors with Arduino
Covers the basics of interfacing Infrared (IR) sensors with Arduino, and how to use them for detecting obstacles or movements.

Interfacing Servo Motors with Arduino
Explains how to interface Servo Motors with Arduino and how to write code to control their movement and position.

Interfacing I2C LCD with Arduino
Demonstrates how to interface I2C Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) with Arduino, and how to write code to display text and information on the LCD.

Interfacing Analog Temperature sensor with Arduino
Teaches how to interface Analog Temperature Sensors with Arduino, and how to use them to measure temperature and display the readings on an LCD.

Interfacing DHT sensor with Arduino
Covers the basics of interfacing Digital Humidity and Temperature (DHT) sensors with Arduino, and how to use them to measure and display temperature and humidity readings.
